These terms are the agreement between you and Tainy Tracker ("Tainy", "we", "us") covering your use of our mobile app and website. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use Tainy.
Tainy Tracker is a general wellness and food-tracking tool. It is not a medical device, and nothing in the app — including anything the AI coach says — is medical, nutritional, or psychological advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
Always consult a qualified doctor or registered dietitian before starting any diet, calorie target, or exercise programme, and especially if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, are under 18, have a medical condition (including diabetes, heart, kidney or thyroid conditions), take medication that affects weight or appetite, or have any history of disordered eating.
If you are struggling with your relationship with food or your body, please reach out to a professional or a support organisation such as Beat (UK) or the National Eating Disorders Association (US). Your health matters more than any number in an app.
You must be at least 16 years old to use Tainy Tracker. By using it you confirm you meet that requirement and that the information you give us is accurate.
You're responsible for keeping your password confidential and for activity that happens under your account. Please tell us promptly at support@tainytracker.com if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission. Don't share your account, and don't create one using someone else's identity.
Tainy uses AI to identify food from photos and to estimate calories and macronutrients, and uses standard published values (MET data) to estimate calories burned during activity. These are approximations and can be wrong — sometimes significantly, especially for mixed dishes, hidden ingredients, oils and sauces, or unusual portion sizes.
Treat every number as a helpful guide, not a measurement. You can always edit any entry. Don't rely on Tainy for any purpose requiring clinical accuracy.
Tainy is currently sold as a one-time purchase. Paying once unlocks the app permanently. There is no subscription, no renewal, and nothing to cancel. The price is shown in the app before you confirm.
We may introduce subscription pricing for people who buy in future. If you bought the one-time unlock, that change will never apply to you. We will not convert an existing one-time purchase into a subscription, charge you again for what you already bought, or move a feature you already had behind a new recurring fee. This commitment survives any future change to these terms.
The one-time purchase includes 50 AI photo analyses per calendar month. Analysing a photo calls a paid third-party AI service each time it runs, which is an ongoing cost to us, so this is the one part of the app that carries a limit. We disclose it here rather than in the small print because it is a real limit, not a technicality.

Your food diary, photos, weights, and messages remain yours. You grant us only the limited licence needed to operate the service for you — storing your entries, and sending photos and coach messages to our AI provider for processing as described in our Privacy Policy. We don't claim ownership of your data and we don't use it to train AI models.
The app, website, branding, and content we create (including recipes and coaching material) belong to us or our licensors and are protected by intellectual property law. You may use them only as part of using Tainy normally.
We aim to keep Tainy running reliably, but we can't promise uninterrupted service — outages, maintenance, and bugs happen. We may add, change, or remove features over time. If we make a material change to these terms, we'll update the date above and notify you in the app where the change is significant.
You can stop using Tainy and delete your account at any time from Profile → Account → Delete account. Deletion is permanent. We may suspend or close accounts that breach these terms or where required by law.
Tainy is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses, or for loss of profits or data, arising from your use of Tainy. Our total liability to you in any 12-month period is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in that period or £50.
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability that cannot legally be limited or excluded — including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for your statutory rights as a consumer.
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere, you keep the benefit of any mandatory protections of your local law.
